Each October I have the opportunity to attend an Annual Event in New York State which for me is the best time to visit the upstate counties of Putnam and Dutchess. My arrival was during a peak week when the autumn colors were beautiful and this year was no exception. I assume that with all the snow, rain and crazy weather the Northeast experienced this winter it produced this fantastic fall foliage.
This time of the year is pumpkin and apple season. You will find some of the best cider that can be enjoyed hot or cold.
During my visit I spent time in the small town of Sherman, CT which is home to The American Pie Company, Inc. We experienced their delicious lemon meringue, apple and cherry crumb pies. Yummy!
I was also able to do some apple picking from this orchard below and the fruit was luscious and delicious.
As the expression goes I Love New York and these are just a few reasons why!
